120A Killarney Towers Hotel M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, K.C. Sexton, rider of Open The Gate, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very green in running. He added that he didn't travel in the last circuit and stayed on one paced.

120B Seamus Weldon John Deere M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Roaring Potter (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled, made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and just ran on in the closing stages past beaten horses.

120D Kelly Farm Modernisation Ltd H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, J.B. Foley, rider of Magnor Glory, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake at the fourth last, had a blow and hung right in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Glan, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a wound on its left fore coronary band but to be otherwise post race normal.

120F Donie Sheahan Irish EBF (Mares) Beg S'ch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Georgette Fun (FR) trained by Henry de Bromhead had blood at both nostrils post race possibly as a result of the fall.

P. Townend, rider of Mi Lighthouse trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out the whole way and was hampered by the faller.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mi Lighthouse, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

120G Shay Rooney H'cap S'chase

The Stewards fined Eugene M. O'Sullivan, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Earths Furies prior to entering the parade ring.

The Stewards reviewed an incident at the sixth fence where Repeat That ridden by R.P. Treacy ran out through the wing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pairc Na Ngael, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Arch Melody trained by J. Morrison had blood at both nostrils post race.

120H Killarney Oils (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Felix Summus, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who felt the second strike did not connect with his mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that the second strike did not connect with the horse and his remaining strikes did not leave him in breach of Regulation 10 so they took no further action. Mr. Justice Tony Hunt absented himself from this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.N. O'Brien, rider of Our Champ, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. D.N. O'Brien was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record they suspended him for 2 racedays. Mr. Justice Tony Hunt absented himself from this enquiry.
