The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

T. P. Harney replaced J.P. Shinnick on Danegeld (GB), trained by J. Morrison (Race 5)(Stewards permission)

244A End Of Season Celebration M'dn H'dle

D.E. Mullins, rider of Fast Medicine, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fast Medicine, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shajak, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Thecompanysergeant (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent form. Denis Gerard Hogan stated that his charge had disappointed at Galway in a high class handicap and despite his best efforts, he was unable to find a reason for that poor run. He further added that a combination of a drop in both class of race and in trip on this occasion may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Men Of Dreams, trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

244C Tom Lynam Memorial H'cap H'dle

B.W. Harvey, rider of Free Parking, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Lodge Prince, trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

244F Follow Kilbeggan Facebook H'cap S'chase

P.T. Enright, rider of Difficult Decision, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had burst a blood vessel and was pulled up. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.

244G John Thomas McNamara INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr S. Tobin, rider of Forever Frankie, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr. S. Tobin accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. S. Tobin in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for three Racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss M.M. McElligott, rider of Barton Snow, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Miss M.M. McElligott accepted that she was in breach aof R10 and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Miss M.M. McElligott in breach of Regulation 10.(3)(g)(frequency) and having considered her record in this regard, they cautioned her on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing involving Barton Snow, ridden by Miss M.M. McElligott, placed third, and Miss Oreo, ridden by Mr P. Hanlon, placed fifth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. P. Hanlon stated that he suffered interference close to the railing and had to check his mount. Miss M.M. McElligott stated that she rode her mount towards the railing and thought she was clear at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss. M. M. McElligott was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered her record they suspended her for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr E. Mahon, rider of The Shantou King, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R10 and from the I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr E. Mahon was in breach of Regulation 10.3((f)(force), (g)(frequency) and (h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record they suspended him for six racedays.

Mr P. Hanlon, rider of Miss Oreo, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check his mount in the closing stages.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lissadell Lass, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
