144B Visit Kilkenny.ie H'capThe Stewards reviewed an incident close to the finishing line involving Silver Service, ridden by D. McMonagle, Royal Canford, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Coins Cross, ridden by M.A. Gallagher, where it appeared that Coins Cross ran short of room and checked. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
M.A. Gallagher, rider of Coins Cross trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the last 100 yards as outside horses came in.
144C1 Good Enuf To Eat Apprentice H'capL.T. McAteer, rider of Tashim trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
144C2 Good Enuf To Eat Apprentice H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Adapt To Dan, ridden by Lauren Maher, and Summer's Dream (GB), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, where it appeared that Adapt To Dan ran short of room on the rails and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mr. Kevin O'Ryan accompanying M.P. Sheehy. Lauren Maher stated that having gone for a gap she got tight for room and had no other option but to come off the rails. M.P. Sheehy stated that having hit the front he tried to get onto the rails and heard a shout from behind when it was too late. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that M.P. Sheehy was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered M.P. Sheehy's record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for 3 racedays.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Chimeric trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away and checked 1 furlong down.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Guiding trained by Shane Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared leaving stalls and missed the break.
144D Gowran Park Median Auction (Fillies) MdnR.C. Colgan, rider of Estoppel trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was flat out all the way.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined White Pepper, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported that the animal was showing signs of being in season post race.
144E Gowran Park Golf Club H'capThe Stewards fined J. S. Bolger, trainer, €65 for fitting undeclared cheekpieces to Global Welfare, prior to entering the parade ring.
C.T. Keane, rider of Evergreen And Red trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found the ground too quick.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Evergreen And Red, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
