The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Flyin Hawaiian (GB), trained by G.M. Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.
100B Paulstown M'dnThe Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Mr. A. Tyrrell who stated that he could not read the microchip as recorded in the passport of Simply Sideways trained by Timothy Doyle. In accordance with Rule 90 (iii) the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Simply Sideways and referred the matter to a senior racing official.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Too Nice, trained by M. Halford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
100C Ir. Stall. Farms EBF Vintage Tipple StksThe Stewards fined Henry de Bromhead, trainer, €65 for failing to fit check peaces to Lismore, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Traisha, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Flor De La Luna (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Princess Zoe (GER) trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked out of stalls.
S. Foley, rider of Flor De La Luna (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.
100D Irish Stallion Farms EBF McCalmont StksThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Amma Grace, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
100E Thomastown Apprentice HcpD. Browne McMonagle, rider of Vazzy trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
The Stewards requested a report from Ciaran Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Black Cat Bobby (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent run at Navan. Mr Murphy stated that the horse didn't appear to stay the trip of 1 mile 2 furlongs and todays trip of 1 mile seemed to suit better. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
100F1 Gowran Park H'capThe Stewards interviewed W.M. Lordan, rider of Crystal Pool, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that W.M. Lordan was in breach of R10.3 (g) and considering his record in this regard, suspended him for 3 racedays.
100F2 Gowran Park H'capThe Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Praying Mantis, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that L.F. Roche was on breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and cautioned the rider on this occasion.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Duquesa Beach, ridden by W.T. Byrne, Tommy The Hat, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Dark Design, ridden by G.F. Carroll , where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.T. Keane stated that he was going backwards when having to take a precautionary check. G.F. Carroll stated that he held his racing line throughout. W.T. Byrne stated that his horse hung right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that W.T. Byrne was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and Rule 213 (failing to report). Considering the W.T. Byrne's records in these regards, they then cautioned the rider for breach of Rule 213 and suspended the rider for 1 raceday for breach of Rule 214.
100G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnAt the request of the Stewards, A.J. Slattery, rider of Nusra, trained by E.J. O'Grady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was keen going to the start. She's a big backward filly who travelled ok early on, got lost running down the hill and then ran on when she meet the rising ground.
