The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sixhandsinmypocket (GB), trained by Conor O'Dwyer, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Peter McCreery, trainer of Rovetta (Fr) after it appeared that his charge may have ran in France in January 2020, which was not reported to the authorities as required under the provisions of Rule 148. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation under the provisions of Rule 14(ii)(b).
018B RED MILLS EBF Ladies Auction M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that he received a report from the trainer Louise G. Lyons that Man After Midnight had made a noise in running.
018C John Mulhern Galmoy H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Longhouse Poet, trained by Martin Brassil, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
018D Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dleK. Callaghan, rider of Brazos (USA), trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount failed to act on the ground.
A.P. Kelly, rider of Simply Shabra, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Emancipator, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.P. O'Connor, rider of Optional Mix, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of R.10 and he apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that he was in breach of R.10.3(g) and having considered his record they cautioned M. P. O'Connor on this occasion.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Emancipator, trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
018E Goffs Thyestes H'cap S'chaseK. Callaghan, rider of Captain Kangaroo, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Darrens Hope, trained by Robert Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Sam Ewing, rider of Dunboyne, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he was in breach of R10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence,the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Sam Ewing was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for five racedays.
018G P.J. Foley Memorial INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving D Art D Art (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, and Jerisk Star (FR), ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed second where it appeared that both horses made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. P.W. Mullins stated that both horses were tired in the closing stages and confirmed that contact was made. Mr F. Maguire stated that he moved his mount out onto the better ground at the point of contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. F. Maguire was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
