The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mark Fahey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Chica Guerrera, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mark Fahey reported that his charge has came forward for all her runs and was running in her first handicap. He further added that he was waiting for heavy to be in the ground description all year and felt today was a poorer race. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
325C Irish EBF Median Sires Series (F) M'dnM.P. Sheehy, rider of Sally O'Brien, trained by Michael Butler, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Kodi Brown, ridden by C. Horgan, unplaced, Curroy Lady (GB), ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, and Now U Have It, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, where it appeared Now U Have It received a bump. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that he got a little bump but his mount was unbalanced and tiring at the time. C. Horgan stated that his mount got close to heels and ducked left. However, on further questioning he accepted that he manoeuvred left. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount lugged left but felt he didn't cause any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Horgan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
325D Dine At Gowran Park H'capAdam Caffrey, rider of Cornahilt Soldier, trained by Kevin Michael Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
M.W Hassett, rider of Cathedral Peak (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost his irons leaving the stalls.
325E1 Racing Club Membership H'capThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from J.F. Levins, trainer of Mindthegap, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
C.D. Fahy, rider of Royal Tribute, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired 100 yards out.
325F Gowran Park Racing Club (Fillies) M'dnL.T. McAteer, rider of Eagles Whistle, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a precautionary check five furlongs out. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
Adam Caffrey, rider of One For Teigan, trained by R.Donohoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
