The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined King Arthurs Sword, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
Rachael Blackmore, rider of King Arthurs Sword trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount stopped quickly.
At the request of the Stewards, S.W. Flanagan, rider of Buzz Light, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle todays going.
045A2 Goresbridge M'dn H'dleR.A. Doyle, rider of Mephisto trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle todays going.
045B Best Of Luck To The Irish (M) M'dn H'dleMr J.P. Kirwan, rider of Cluain Dun trained by Ms.M.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
045C Xenon H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Pictures Of Home (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J. W. Kennedy was in breach of regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered J. W. Kennedy's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kristian Goingwel, trained by Oliver McKiernan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost its left fore shoe but to be otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
J.C. Gainford, rider of Lalipour trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle todays going and never travelled.
R. Deegan, rider of Hourie trained by L. Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
B. Browne, rider of Kristian Goingwel trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped badly and never travelled.
The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Pictures Of Home (GB), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed second and Capture The Drama, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed third, where it appeared that there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
045D Holden Plant Rentals Shamrock H'cap S'chOwning to the ground conditions, the Stewards granted permission for races five and six to be flag started.
R.M. Power, rider of Dinny Lacey trained by J.Motherway, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.
The Stewards interviewed D.E. Mullins, rider of Pont Aven, concerning his use of the whip in the early stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount normally jumps well but made two bad errors today through inattention, and that he used his whip for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation given and took no further action other than to remind D. E. Mullins of his responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards received a request from Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer of Born Leader and Elite Des Mottes to substitute K. Brouder with G. P. Brouder, as the nominated rider was unwell. The Stewards initially requested that Eoin Christopher McCarthy make an effort to secure the services of a like for like replacement and having being subsequently satisfied that Mr. McCarthy was unable to secure a similar replacement the Stewards, under the provisions of Rule 196, permitted the changes sought.
