D.N. Russell, rider of Motown Maggie trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Lizlucky, ridden by C.A. Landers, Sadie's Pride, ridden by Mr J.W. Kenny, Kilbarry Chianti, ridden by J.B. Foley, and Outback Flyer, ridden by K.C. Sexton, where it appeared Outback Flyer came down suddenly on the flat. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.C. Sexton stated that his mount wears a rubber bit, on the bend she suddenly latched on, caught a heel and came down. In his opinion no other rider was at fault for the incident. C.A. Landers stated that his mount was going backwards at the time of the incident at which point he felt slight interference from his outer. Jack Foley stated that as he was getting after his mare he got pressure from his outer and gave a shout. Mr. J.W. Kenny stated that his mare lied in slightly on the bend but not to any great extent and felt he did not cause any significant interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
336B Irish National Hunt Beginners S'chaseRachael Blackmore, rider of Minella Escape trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount's saddle slipped after the second last.
Owing to low sun, the Stewards granted permission for Fence 5 (fifth last) to be omitted from this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Endless Cash trained by D.Broad was found to have blood at its left nostril post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Minella Escape trained by Henry de Bromhead was found to be lame post race.
336C Winter Festival Rated Novice S'chaseOwing to low sun, the Stewards granted permission for Fence 5 (fifth last) to be omitted from this race.
336D Ireland V Britain (QR) H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr C.J. Shine, rider of Top Question, presented himself to weigh out at 4lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had expected to be able to do lighter but there was a discrepancy with his scales at home and he was now heavier than expected. Ms. C. Murphy, representing the trainer stated that Mr. Archdeacon, trainer, was satisfied for Mr. Shine to carry the overweight on his charge with the permission of the Stewards. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards granted permission for the rider to ride with the overweight but were satisfied that he was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having taken his record into account fined him €150.
Owing to low sun, the Stewards granted permission for Fence 5 (fifth last) to be omitted from this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Moscowsowhat trained by James Daniel Dullea was found to have been struck into on its right fore, lost a shoe and was lame post race.
336F John Thomas McNamara Series (QR) Hcp HdlThe Stewards interviewed Mr A. Leahy, rider of Sefton Warrior (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the whip regulation and offered no other explanation other than he was fighting out a close finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 3 race days.
336H Irish EBF (C&G) P-To-P INH Flat RaceThe Stewards interviewed Mr P.A. King, rider of O'Moore Park, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip with excessive frequency and failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond to the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.3.(g)(frequency) and (i)(time to respond) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 3 race days.
