The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Sevenal (GB), ridden by D.G. Hogan, and trained by Denis Gerard Hogan. Evidence was heard from D.G. Hogan who stated that his intentions were to jump off at the back and get his mount to settle as he can be very keen. He added he was happy with the way the race went altough his mount did run quiet keen in snatches. Despite this he felt he still had a chance of better prize money turning in but was a little disappointed Sevenal (GB) didn't pick up better in the straight. He felt he had finished in his best possible place despite losing his whip after the last. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Sevenal (GB) was lame behind post race. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
354C BARONERACING.COM Royal Bond Novice H'dleThe Stewards reviewed an incident after the last involving Farout, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, placed fourth and Impervious, ridden by B. Hayes, placed fifth, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the incident, the Stewards took no further action.
The Stewards enquired into an incident at approximately the four furlong marker involving Arctic Warrior (GER), ridden by M.P. Walsh, unplaced, Uhtred, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed sixth and Statuaire (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed first, where it appeared Artic Warrior ran short of room for a few strides. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.P. Walsh stated that it got tight for a few strides. Rachael Blackmore felt it was down to general bunching. D.E. Mullins stated that the horses bunched up just before the turn in and it got a little tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
The Stewards interviewed D.E. Mullins, rider of Statuaire (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip with excess and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D.E. Mullins was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.
354D BARONERACING.COM Drinmore Novice S'chaseD.N. Russell, rider of Grand Paradis (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a few jumping errors prior to pulling up .
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lifetime Ambition, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
354E BARONERACING.COM Porterstown Hcap SchaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eurobot (GB), trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
B.J. Cooper, rider of Eurobot (GB) trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
354F BARONERACING.COM Hatton's Grace H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Saldier (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a superficial cut on its right hind.
354G BARONERACING.COM H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eclair De Beaufeu (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Gua Du Large (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent run in Down Royal on the 30th Oct '21 where he pulled up. Henry de Bromhead reported that the far better ground today along with the first time application of a tongue tie may have brought about the apparent improvement on form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
At the request of the Stewards, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Glens Of Antrim, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last which finished his chance.
354H Bar One Racing (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Realistic Optimism, ridden by Mr T.P. Harney, placed fourth and Sa Fureur, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd, placed third, where it appeared Realistic Optimism ran short of room, clipped a heel and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. T.P. Harney stated that the horse on his outer caused him to get tight and he had to take a check. Mr. J.J. Codd stated that he was trying to make his way across to the rail and was not aware of the horse on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.J. Codd was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly and considering his record in this regard, they suspended him for 5 racedays. Mrs. T.K. Cooper did not attend this enquiry.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Data Breach (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
