367A Bar One Racing Irish EBF (M) Hcap Schase

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the third last involving Broomfield Bijou, ridden by S. Ewing, placed sixth, and Deons Diamond, ridden by G. Brouder, placed fourth, where it appeared Deons Diamond ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Ewing stated that he was on the rail throughout and there was no room on his inner. G. Brouder stated that Broomfield Bijou jumped slightly left and he maintained a straight line down his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G. Brouder, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended G. Brouder for two racedays.

S. Ewing, rider of Broomfield Bijou, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered turning in.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of La Malmason, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Gavin Cromwell stated that La Malmason had undergone a proceedure for a kissing spine during a break in training and this may have brought about the appareant improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the approach to the second last involving Sainte Dona (FR), ridden by D. Meyler, unplaced, and Deons Diamond, ridden by G. Brouder, placed fourth, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined My Immortal, trained by Barry Connell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

367D Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.G. Gilligan, rider of Zeeband, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was not sure how many horses were in front of him and he thought he was riding for sixth place. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards gave J. G. Gilligan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

367G Bar One Racing H'cap H'dle

M.M. McDonagh, rider of Little Mixup, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and was pulled up.

367H Bar One Racing (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gordon Elliott, trainer, of Koktail Brut, who was withdrawn yesterday due to the ground, officially described as yielding, good to yielding in places and was running today on ground officially described as the same. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had walked both tracks and he felt the ground on todays track, which is a totally different track, was slower than yesterdays but still not soft enough for He Can't Dance. Furthermore, Gordon Elliott requested to substitute Paddy Cleary with Mr. H. C Swan as his intended mount was a non runner. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the substitution of rider on this occasion, as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 3, and took no further action.
