The Stewards fined J.G.Coogan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared visors to Daintree, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Pandemic Princess, ridden by S.P. Davis and Daintree, ridden by W. Joyce, where it appeared Pandemic Princess drifted into the racing line of Daintree. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.P. Davis stated that his filly went left under pressure. W. Joyce stated that he received a slight bump from Pandemic Princess. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.P. Davis in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Burren Song, ridden by O. Shanahan, and trained by Andrew Slattery. Evidence was heard from the rider and Brian Slattery, Authorised representative for the trainer concerned. O. Shanahan, stated that her instructions were to jump out and settle Burren Song, get a nice position and try and get him to finish out the race. She added that the race went well in the main however just before turning in he did drop off the main body at which point she started urging him along and kept riding him hands and heels to the line. Mr. Slattery confirmed the instructions given but accepted that the horse may have finished closer with a stronger ride. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Burren Song was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations of the trainers Autorised representative, Brian Slattery, however they were satisfied that O. Shanahan was in breach of Rule 212A(ii)(timely, real and substantial effort) by riding her horse in such a way that her horse could not be seen to have been the subject of a genuine attempt to obtain from the horse timely, real and substantial efforts to achieve the best possible place. Having considered her record, the Stewards suspended O. Shanahan for 10 racedays and ordered her to forfeit her riding fee. Furthermore in accordance with Rule 212C(d), the Stewards suspended Burren Song for 42 days.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Cheval Blanc, ridden by M.A. Enright, Moshammer, ridden by D.W. O'Connor and Destacado, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.A. Enright stated that he received pressure from his outer. D.W. O'Connor stated that he had to check due to Destacado coming across towards the rail. Siobhan Rutledge stated that she was aware of the horses on her inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly and having considered her record in this regard, they suspended her for 3 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Chicago Lightening (GB), concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that S.B. Kelly was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

Sorcha Woods, rider of Persian Wolf trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got upset in the stalls and bolted during the early stages of the race.

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Tynamite trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room twice in the first furlong.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Cool As Ever trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got badly hampered early on.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Malaysian, ridden by P.A. Harnett, Capla Knight, ridden by D. King, Persian Wolf, ridden by Sorcha Woods, Cool As Ever, ridden by R.P. Cleary, Cornish Rock, ridden by W. Joyce and Helen De Pourtales, ridden by R. Whearty, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.A. Harnett stated he received pressure from his outside and had to check back. D. King stated that he received a bump from his inside. Sorcha Woods stated that her horse was running keen and she couldn't take him back. R.P. Cleary stated that things got very tight. W. Joyce stated that he felt bunching on his outer. R. Whearty stated he received pressure from his outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied the interference was caused by Sorcha Woods mount Persian Wolf bolting and took no further action. D. King was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. D. Mason. R. Whearty was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. I. Kearney.

The Stewards interviewed D. King, rider of Capla Knight, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D. King was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion. D. King was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. D. Mason.
