The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Leigh Roche rode Boomerang Bill (reserve) trained by Ross O'Sullivan (Race 6).

344A Christmas Party Nights Claiming Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fly To Glory, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed once post race, was otherwise found to be post race normal.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Fly To Glory, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

R.M Mulligan, rider of Wild Mountain, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the home straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined El Fontenaro, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Sea Fort (GB), trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bit tight at the first bend.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Movin And Groovin, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the first bend.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the first bend involving Sea Fort (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced, El Fontenaro, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed sixth, Undefeatable, ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, and Movin And Groovin, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced where it appeared that horses got tight for room on the inside. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.C. Colgan stated that it got a bit tight at the first bend.
R.P. Whelan stated that he maintained his racing line, though it became tight at the bend.
W. Joyce stated that his horse travelled well to the point of the bend where it got tight and so he took back. R.P. Cleary stated that it got tight on the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

344D Bet On The Best Night Out At Dundalk Hcp

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Patrick J.Flynn, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Shaaden, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that a sounder surface on this occasion helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

344F1 Now Racing Every Wednesday H'cap

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, C.T. Keane, rider of Tastyee, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount could not lie up early on and stopped quickly in the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Diego Dias, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of The World's Astage, placed first, as compared with its recent form. the trainer reported that The World's Astage had been given a break to freshen him up. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident around the two furlong mark where it appeared horses got tight on the outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
