The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

H.J. Horgan rode Pollanassa (reserve) trained by R.P.Cody (Race 2)

364A Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race

J. Kearney, rider of Hezahunk, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room a furlong out.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Jackie Robinson, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount didn't go into a gap on the inner and didn't handle the bend. Having reviewed the incident and considered the report the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, N.G. McCullagh, rider of Eighty Eight, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced early and stayed on well in the straight.

364B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. Race

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Ms. J. Taylor, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that Storm Tracker (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined Gavin Cromwell €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii).

R. Whearty, rider of Storm Tracker (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step on leaving the stalls.

364C Now Racing Every Wednesday Nursery H'cap

C.D. Hayes, rider of Cool Dan, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen early.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Amerigo Vespucci, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount took a keen hold.

364D Gateway Hotel Dundalk Race & Stay H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final 50 yards involving Higher Kingdom (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed sixth, and Oriental Dancer (GB), ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fifth, where it appeared horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.W. O'Connor stated that he was running out of horse in the closing stages when he felt slight interference on his outer. N.G. McCullagh stated that as they came close to the line his mount side-stepped. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Oriental Dancer (GB) had caused interference to Higher Kingdom (GB) she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore they were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.

S. Foley, rider of You Owe Me Money, trained by D.J. Bunyan & G. O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never left herself down on the surface.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Allo Arry, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around a little in the straight.

364E1 Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Un Bacio Ancora, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and hung right.

R. Whearty, rider of Kiwi Kiss (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

C.T. Keane, rider of Cholita, trained by Sarah Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was upset in the stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of James Henry, trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried over to the stand side.

L.F. Roche, rider of Theriverrunsdeep, trained by Seamus G. O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right from three furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference near the furlong pole involving James Henry, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second, and Theriverrunsdeep, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed first, where it appeared horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D. Hayes stated that he was prominent and his mount was keen. He was carried over towards the stand side and there was contact but his mount couldn't pass the other horse. L.F. Roche stated that his mount lugged right from three furlongs out. He connected with the other horse and straightened his mount and she idled to the finish. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Theriverrunsdeep had caused interference to James Henry she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore they were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving James Henry, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Senado Square (GB), ridden by C. Horgan, and Theriverrunsdeep, ridden by L.F. Roche where it appeared Senado Square (GB) got tight for room on the stand rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Horgan stated that his horse's head was at the hind quarters of James Henry, he gave a shout as he saw Theriverrunsdeep was coming over at which point he was forced to switch. C.D. Hayes stated that he was aware of Theriverrunsdeep, he was nursing his horse along when they got tight for room. He was aware of shouting behind but felt the rider needed far more horse. L.F. Roche stated that his mount lugged right from three furlongs out and got lonely in the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.

364E2 Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Zig Zag Zyggy, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the home straight.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.P. Davis, rider of Brookie Cookie, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was struck into early and came home well.

364F Dundalk Stadium Gift Vouchers H'cap

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Yokkell, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung right in the straight.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Storm Eric, trained by Jamie Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

364G Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Chief Of State, trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Mint Man (GB), trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

A.C. Persse, rider of Surpass And Shine, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Woohoo, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room going to the line.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Sorrento Sky, ridden by R. Whearty, placed second, and Tarsus, ridden by C. Horgan, placed first, where it appeared both horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mint Man (GB), trained by P.J.F. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.
