The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Sheridan replaced Adam Caffrey on Argent Rapide, trained by Anthony McCann (Race 1)(unwell)
J.A. Powell replaced Adam Caffrey on Wasittheway, trained by T.G.McCourt (Race 3)(unwell)
K.G. Kennedy replaced Adam Caffrey on Hezahunk, trained by Adrian McGuinness (Race 6)(unwell).

369A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Duke Mardukas (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing while being examined post race possibly because of kick back as its mouth and nose was covered in sand.

M. Santos, rider of Ohmyviette (FR), trained by W.P.Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.

Anthony McCann, trainer of Argent Rapide, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost its action turning in.

369B Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Sean Davis, trainer of Sayifyouwill (GB), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Raceday Stewards fined R. K. Watson, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Dear Daphne, prior to entering the parade ring.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Nikki Swango, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.P. Davis, rider of Sayifyouwill (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. He further stated that he used his whip numerous times in front of the saddle as he couldn't bring his hand behind due to the horse beside him. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(a) by striking his mount in front of the saddle while the whip is in the forehand position. Having considered his clean record in both these regards, they suspended him for five racedays.

369D Now Racing Every Wednesday Nursery H'cap

L.T. McAteer, rider of Ja'marr (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around a bit inside the final furlong.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Annaghmccanns, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of New Definition (GB), trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't travel early on.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Ransom (GB), trained by P. Sweeney, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.

369F Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

N.M. Crosse, rider of Fly To Glory, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the late arrival of Bruce Lightning to the start having been trotted all the way down and contributed to a two minute delay to the start of this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer Patrick Martin and rider J. Kearney. J. Kearney stated that his mount is very difficult and he wanted to keep him relaxed as best he could. Patrick Martin stated that he is a very tricky horse and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given. Furthermore, they reminded them of their obligation to have the horse on time down to the start in future.

369G Dundalk Stadium Gift Vouchers H'cap

R. Whearty, rider of Come On The Lads, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel after leaving the stalls. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
