The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Neve Bennett rode Never Thought, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey (Race 6)(Stewards' permission).

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident with a circuit to race involving Glowing Bird, ridden by S. Coen, and Ice Opera, ridden by Nicola Burns, where it appeared they made slight contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Aird (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Tribal Moon, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled left and right up the straight.

J.S. Dalton, rider of Saxon Kingdom, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

010C View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium H'cap

R.M Mulligan, rider of Esque Elegance, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled on leaving the stalls.

L.F. Roche, rider of Senior Montecristo (GB), trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the bit ran through his mount's mouth during the race.

010D Group Deals Available At Dundalk H'cap

The Raceday Stewards fined Patrick J. McKenna, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared visor to No Speed Limit (FR), prior to entering the parade ring.

H.J. Horgan, rider of Havana Notion (GB), trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Brigadier Kakuru, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence from the rider who accepted he moved across but was of the opinion he had not caused any interference, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.W. O' Connor was in breach of Rule 211 and in considering his clean record they suspended him for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Suerte, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence from the rider who stated that he was carried across from the horse on his outside, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.C. Colgan was in breach of Rule 211 and in considering his clean record they suspended him for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Neve Bennett , rider of Never Thought, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that her last use of the whip was unnecessary. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Neve Bennett was in breach of R10.3(b)(use of whip when chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone) and having considered her clean record in this regard they suspended her for two racedays. .

The Raceday Stewards interviewed H.J. Horgan, rider of Reclaim (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, H.J. Horgan stated that his mount was hanging and he was concerned about the horses behind him and used his whip for corrective purposes Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that H.J Horgan was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record in this regard(fifth offence) they suspended him for twenty racedays.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from P.J.F. Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Signor Ferrari, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.J. Murphy stated that a step up in trip brought about the improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Together Aclaim (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran freely throughout.
