J.A. Powell, rider of Veracidad, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from J.F. Levins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Seven Eleven (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. J. F. Levins stated that his charge ran too keenly last time out at Naas and the application of a different bit had helped it to settle today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
287B Coors H'capJ.A. Powell, rider of Distillate (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Wave Machine (FR), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, Smullen's Pride, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed sixth, and Distillate (GB), ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth, where it appeared Smullen's Pride had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. M. Coen stated that he was waiting for a gap when one appeared on the inner. D. McMonagle stated that his race was run but was satisfied that there was sufficient room for Mr. Coen to go where he did. J. A. Powell stated that he caused or suffered no interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
287C Irish EBF Auction Series (F) M'dnS. Foley, rider of Magical Bay, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
J.A. Powell, rider of Are You In Or Out, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
287D Madrí Excepcional M'dnR.P. Whelan, rider of Haalim (GB), trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went a bit right under pressure.
W.J. Lee, rider of Muhaarar's Girl, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a slight check on straightening up after turning in.
287E Molson Coors Beverage Company H'capJ.A. Powell, rider of Praying Mantis, trained by J.Larkin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved badly.
C.T. Keane, rider of Queenie St Clair, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was unlucky in running.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning for home involving Cavallo Pazzo, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, and Madakasham Jam, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. T. Hynes, that C.D. Hayes, rider of Catherine Chroi, had weighed back in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
287F Pravha H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mr Mills, trained by Christopher David Timmons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left hind.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Red Trail, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed first, and Grann's Boy, ridden by A. Caffrey where it appeared Red Trail drifted across into Grann's Boy. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount rolled around in front. A. Caffrey stated that the winner rolled around in front of him but it made no difference to him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Red Trail, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right throughout.
A. Caffrey, rider of Grann's Boy, trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the winner rolled around in front of him but caused no interference.
Patrick Downey, trainer of Breakintheclouds, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge had scoped badly post race.
287G Molson Coors Beverage Company H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of Eastern Legend, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. P. Cleary was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from D. K. Weld, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Brogue (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Patrick O'Brien, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run which was a first run back after a long break. He further added that more favourable ground on this occasion had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
