335B Lough Construction Ltd. H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately five furlongs from the finish involving Spice Diva, ridden by Mr S. Connor and Hunting Brook, ridden by J.W. Kennedy where it appeared these horses came close together for a number of strides. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.W. Kennedy, stated that he had been following Mr. Connor after jumping the fourth last, he left a gap on the inner, he was three quarters way into the gap before Mr. Connor went to close the door and he kept the door closed when his own horse was in the gap. Mr. Connor stated that he moved out from the rail to get light, the horse on the inside got light but his own mare was hanging. He further stated that there were horses on the outer also, the two horses hustled for a bit but he did move out again. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. S. Connor was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for seven race days.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle three (third last) to be omitted from this race.

335D Bottlegreen H'dle

Owing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdles two (second last) and three (third last) to be omitted from this race.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences one (last), two (second last) and three (third last) to be omitted from this race.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Womalko (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Womalko (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences one (last), two (second last) and three (third last) to be omitted from this race.
