At the request of the Stewards, S.D. Torrens, rider of Duleek Street, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped left and that he lost his stick.

256B Kingdom Healthcare H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from D.M. Christie, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ask The Leader, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Bellewstown on the 23rd August when finishing last of the thirteen finishers. D.M. Christie reported that in his opinion the return to front running tactics on a track where she had previously won were contributing factors for the improved performance. Having considered the explanation, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

256D Downpatrick Racecourse Best H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Getaway Goldie, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Diamondinthemud, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted the breach and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C.J.Orr was in breach of R10(3)(g) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 4 racedays.

256E Daria Gapska Opportunity Beginners S'ch

C. Brassil, rider of Desert Heather trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount could not go with the pace in the early part of this race.

256F D H H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined All Class (FR), trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

K.C. Sexton, rider of All Class (FR) trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.

256G Downpatrick H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Piper, trained by Thomas Gibney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
