232D Mighty Women Awards (M) H'cap H'dleFollowing a report from the IHRB Starter Mr. D. Cullen, the Raceday Stewards wished to interview Rachael Blackmore, rider of Cobra Queen, regarding the start of this race. However, as Rachael Blackmore had left the racecourse prior to ten minutes after the winner alright had been announced as required under Rule 229(v), the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official.
232E Randox M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Punch Perfect (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Townend, rider of Punch Perfect (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Western Ability, trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left.
232F Shortcross Irish Whiskey H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed J.S. McGarvey, rider of Mister Vic, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
A.P. Kelly, rider of Slaney Bank, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout and stopped quickly.
K. Callaghan, rider of Glaoinn An Airgead, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
232G Killultagh Estates INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the home straight involving Augusta George, ridden by Mr N. Gault, placed first, and Dramatic License, ridden by Mr S. Connor, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr N. Gault stated that his mount was hanging the whole way and everytime his mount was hanging he corrected him immediately. Mr S. Connor stated that he was impeded three times in the straight. He further added he felt Mr N. Gault didn't correct his horse properly. He concluded by stating he felt it had cost him the race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Augusta George had caused interference to Dramatic Licence he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that Mr N. Gault was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
Mr S. Connor, rider of Dramatic License, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered three times up the straight.
