At the request of the Raceday Stewards, G.P. Halpin, rider of Puturhandstogether, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was raw and ran green.
338B Sheehy Motors Volkswagen RaceW.J. Lee, rider of Verhoyen (GB), trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared up and moved forward just as the gates began to open, forcing them open before the other gates. Having viewed a recording of the start and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Verhoyen derived no material advantage, and in fact lost ground as a result of this incident. Consequently, they were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
338D Cavalor Equine Nutrition H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Magical Vision, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, placed sixth, and Curraheen Princess, ridden by T. Kiely-Marshall, unplaced, where it appeared Magical Vision pushed out to create a gap. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K. G. Kennedy stated that his mount was full of running and he forced his way out. T. Kiely-Marshall stated that he had tried to maintain his line when he received pressure from his left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K. G. Kennedy was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two race days.
338E Comer International Loughbrown StakesThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Typewriter, trained by Andrew Balding (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
338F Tote Athgarvan H'capC. Stone-Walsh, rider of Arniemac, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free.
338G Start Your Racing TV Trial Finale StakesG.P. Halpin, rider of Time To Tell, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a small bit tight for room coming into the straight. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Chally Chute, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, Helvic Dream, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, Sunchart (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, unplaced, Feathertop (GB), ridden by S. Foley, unplacecd, and High Chieftess, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, where it appeared Feathertop and Sunchart ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. P. Whelan stated that he was in the gap when things got tight. C. T. Keane stated that he was riding tight and then went across when he was clear. B. M. Coen stated that his race was run and his mount lugged right under pressure. S. Foley stated that he was dropping out when things got a bit tight. C. D. Hayes stated that he kept his line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by general bunching and they took no further action.
