S. Foley, rider of Arnhem, trained by M.G.Quinn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no room inside the final furlong.
W.J. Lee, rider of Keke (GB), trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount changed legs from one and a half furlongs down resulting in him making slight contact with the horse next to him.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Mehmar, ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced, Apache Outlaw, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed fifth, Emerald Harmony, ridden by R.M Mulligan, placed fourth, and Sporting Hero (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, unplaced, where it appeared Sporting Hero had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that it got tight from both sides. Adam Caffrey stated that he kept a straight line. D. McMonagle stated that when the horse on his inner moves slightly out, his mount replicated this action. R.M. Mulligan stated that his mount moved slightly right but he corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the retreating of Sturlasson, ridden by G.F. Carroll where it appeared S. Foley had to sit on Arnhem. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
288C Montane Developments Beresford StakesThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately 100 yards from the finish involving Hotazhell (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed first, Tennessee Stud, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed second, and Trinity College, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fourth, where it appeared Hotazhell drifts right causing slight interference to Tennesse Stud and Trinity College. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.M. Lordan stated that he wasn't affected by the incident. D. McMonagle stated that he had to shift a little right but there wasn't much in it. S. Foley stated that his mount drifted right but he corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind S. Foley to react faster when in a similar position in future.
288D Fitzpatricks Mercedes-Benz M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined White Clover, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of poor recovery post race.
D. McMonagle, rider of Badda Bing, trained by Josh Halley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried slightly right at the furlong pole.
M.P. Sheehy, rider of Certified Freak, trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and never travelled.
W. Joyce, rider of Penny Mountain, trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up in the stalls.
G.F. Carroll, rider of White Clover, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
288E Goffs MillionThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Antelope Canyon, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed second, and Apples And Bananas, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.M. Lordan stated that his mount was rolling around, he felt nothing at the time and it didn't affect his finishing position. D. McMonagle stated that his mount shifted right momentarily but he corrected him immediately and made no contact with Antelope Canyon. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Apples And Bananas had caused slight intimidation to Antelope Canyon, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Garden Of Eden, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left fore and to have lost a shoe.
288F Goffs 500G.M. Ryan, rider of Mount Parnassus, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right from the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the closing stages of this race involving Lightning Bear, ridden by W. Joyce, placed third, and Mollie Foster, ridden by Saffie Osborne, placed second, where it appeared the two horses came close together near the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
288G Glenroyal Hotel Student Derby H'capThe Raceday Stewards fined Mrs John Harrington, trainer, €65 for fitting cheekpieces to Alfheim which had not been declared and ordered it’s removal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed A. Harvey, rider of Tartaraghan, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that his mount was responding. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. Harvey was in breach of R.10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
288H SBK H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of No More Porter, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuinness reported that his charge seemed to show a dislike for the tight turning track in Listowel and appreciated a return to the Curragh where he has run well previously. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Mehman (GB), trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
