The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Heart To Heart (GB), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards reviewed incidents about one and a half furlongs out and again about one furlong out involving Agartha, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Eternal Gold, ridden by L.F. Roche, and Pepsiwithacap, ridden by G.F. Carroll, in the first incident and Dissociate, ridden by W.J. Lee and Heart To Heart, ridden by R.L. Moore in the second incident, where it appeared some runners were momentarily tightened for room in both incidents. Having reviewed the recording of the incidents and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.
124B Heider Family Stables Gallinule StakesThe Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Matchless, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.A. Heffernan stated that he had used the whip three times on the off side, twice on the nearside and the remaining use was only movements. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards pursuant to R10(6)(a) suspended J.A. Heffernan for six racedays.
124C Tattersalls Gold CupJ.A. Heffernan, rider of Tiger Moth trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled badly from the one furlong marker through to the finish and pull up area.
124D Betway H'capThe Stewards reviewed an incident on the turn into the straight involving In From The Cold, ridden by Sam Ewing, Aesop, ridden by T.P. Madden and Alghazaal (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, where it appeared that In From The Cold may have been short of room between horses. Having reviewed the incident and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.
124E Tattersalls Irish 1,000 GuineasThe Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Fev Rover, ridden by P. Hanagan, unplaced and Sziget, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced where it appeared that Sziget may have been short of room when Fev Rover manoeuvred across her path. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount was shortening her stride when Fev Rover moved over in front of her but he only checked when he read the situation and added that Fev Rover was one length clear of her at that time. P. Hanagan stated that his mount was never comfortable on the ground and the move towards Sziget was exaggerated when his mount hung right and changed her legs. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fev Rover, trained by Richard Fahey (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
124F Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Habitat' H'capD.E. Sheehy, rider of Lady Scathach trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.
124G Betway Irish EBF M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Father's Day, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled a shoe otherwise was post race normal.
S. Foley, rider of Citronnade (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around a bit in the final furlong.
M.A. Gallagher, rider of Wild Dollar trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was on the receiving end of interference in the last fifty yards.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the winning post involving Wild Dollar, ridden by M.A. Gallagher, placed second and Citronnade (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed first, where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.A. Gallagher in his evidence stated that he thought that his mount was about to go by Citronnade (GB) when he received contact which unbalanced his mount at a crucial stage of the race. S. Foley in his evidence stated that his mount had previously leaned to the right and was corrected when he changed his whip hand and then the filly shifted left towards Wild Dollar but in his opinion that animal had in turn leaned in on his own mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Citronnade (GB) had improved her placing over Wild Dollar by causing him interference and consequently reversed the placings with the amended result to read; First - Wild Dollar, Second - Citronnade (GB). The Stewards took no further action.
124H Heed Your Hunch At Betway H'capC.D. Hayes, rider of Grand D'espagne (FR) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.
