003A Happy New Year From All At Cork Mdn Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Will Wilde (FR), trained by Liz Doyle, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Byrnes, rider of I Owe You One, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made an early mistake, was hampered by the faller in the back straight and just plugged on afterwards.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Will Wilde (FR), trained by Liz Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise in running.

P.T. Enright, rider of Just Jack, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

003D EASYFIX H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the final hurdle involving Da Capo Glory, ridden by Mr D. Allen, placed first, and Rebel Early, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second, where it appeared that they came close together on landing over the final hurdle. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

003E Quays Bar And The Stables Bar Beg. S'ch

The Raceday Stewards interviewed L. Quinlan, rider of Thedancingfarrier, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, L. Quinlan accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found L. Quinlan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and in considering his record in this regard they suspended him for four racedays.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Aghmorough Bridge, trained by William P Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
