The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined General Clermont (FR), trained by D.E.Fitzgerald, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
338B I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dleAt the request of the Stewards, J.J. Slevin, rider of Soloman Lane (GB), trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount slipped up and fell on the flat on the approach to the second last hurdle. P.T. Enright reported that his mount Oneida was unable to avoid the fallen Soloman Lane (GB) and was brought down. The Stewards reviewed the video evidence from that part of the race and were satisfied that the fallers were accidental in nature and no action was warranted.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Gladys Emmanuel trained by Denis Hickey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
338E Clonmel Oil S'chaseD.N. Russell, rider of Hardline trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the third last fence.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hardline, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a skin abrasion over his right fore tendon. Samples were taken for analysis.
338G Clonmel Oil Slan Abhaile INH Flat RaceThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Diamondinthemud, trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards interviewed Miss E. Cummins, rider of Time Gents, concerning her use of the whip in the later stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence she admitted that she had exceeded the whip guidelines and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss E. Cummins was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss E. Cummins for two racedays.
