W. Joyce, rider of Quinn's Charm, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel in the back straight as it was running very free.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Cuban Princess (GB), ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, Lucia Molly, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed third, and Maker's Mark, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fourth, where it appeared Maker's Mark had to switch out off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. W. Hassett stated that his race was run and he was trying to keep straight as he dropped back. Adam Caffrey stated that the horse in front dropped back and he had to switch out off heels. J. J. G. Ryan stated that his mount overexaggerated when the horse on his inside moved out. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
180B Champion Lettings H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Oiche Rua, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuinness stated that he was unable to account for the improvement in form but added that his yard may be coming back into a bit of form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
W. Joyce, rider of Kodi's Angel, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped ok but was reluctant to race.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Micasso, trained by Donal Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unruly in the stalls.
180C Ploughman Bar And Grill H'capG.M. Ryan, rider of Saxon Kingdom, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from the top of the hill.
180D Irish EBF Auction Series M'dnM. W. Hassett, rider of Believe In Glory, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that M. W. Hassett, rider of Believe In Glory, had failed to weigh in following a fall after the finish. The Raceday Stewards were informed by the Clerk of the Course that the horse was still loose at the time of weigh in. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that there were justifiable reasons for such failure as provided for under Rule 230(ii). The Racedays Stewards were also satisfied that M. W. Hassett had weighed out at not less than his proper weight and accordingly confirmed the Judge's placings and took no further action.
180E Indaver Ireland H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Emerald Harmony, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, and Mickey The Steel (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, placed fifth, where it appeared Mickey The Steel had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. M. Coen stated that his mount leaned in when clear but then weakened. W. Joyce stated that his mount was just staying on and it made no difference to him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
180F McNallys Pharmacy Apprentice H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Steps In The Sand, ridden by P. McGettigan, placed first, Trubshaw (GB), ridden by Gabriella Hill, placed third, Lariat (GB), ridden by D.S. O'Sullivan, placed sixth, and Highland Bells, ridden by T. Casey, placed fourth, where it appeared Steps In The Sand drifted left across the others. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P. McGettigan stated that his mount drifted left when clear and he corrected. Gabriella Hill stated that she suffered no interference. D. S. O'Sullivan stated that his race was run when things got congested. T. Casey stated that things got tight but it didn't affect his finishing position and the horse in front was clear. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind P. McGettigan to ride with more awareness in the future
J. Pietropaolo, rider of Whispering Hopes, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout.
P. McGettigan, rider of Steps In The Sand, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted left inside the final furlong.
180G Seamus Mulvaney, Crockafotha (QR) RaceThe Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that Mr D. Doyle, rider of Weston (GER), had presented to weigh out at 2.5lbs overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed Mr. D. Doyle to take up the ride on this occasion. They were however satisfied that Mr. D. Doyle was in breach of Rule 198 and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined Mr. D. Doyle €150 on this occasion.
Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Arch Empire (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled at the crossing.
