243A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

The Stewards fined K.J. Condon, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Mr Trinket, prior to entering the parade ring.

243B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Fictitious Lady trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled to the left after the road.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Spear Head trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green in the final furlong.

S. Foley, rider of Got The Moves trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room at the line which made no difference to his finishing position.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Fictitious Lady, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Got The Moves, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared Got The Moves ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he was on a free-going filly, he thought he'd pick up but started to thread water and there was a funnel effect at the line where he had to check. W.J. Lee stated that he had hoped to be more forward, not further back but crept away, close home he had the momentum and headed the others at which point his filly rolled left. He had thought there was sufficient room on his inner but there wasn't. Having viewed the
recording of the race and considered the evidence, Stewards were satisfied that W.J. Lee was in
breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and suspended W.J. Lee for three race days.

243C(i) Gerry Hughes Memorial H'cap (Division One)

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Basrah Breeze trained by E.D. Delany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break and got no run on numerous occasions.

S. Foley, rider of Caesar's Comet trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was denied a run in the straight as he got tight for room.

The Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Crystal Dawn, ridden by G.F. Carroll, Mulzamm, ridden by D. King, The Bog Bank, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan and Accessory, ridden by K.J. Manning, where it appeared horses on the inner got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. King, gave his evidence in the presence of Ms. M. Donovan. J.J.G. Ryan gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. T.G. McCourt. G.F. Carroll stated that he saw the incident coming and eased his mount. K.J. Manning stated that he received pressure from his outer. D. King stated that he received pressure from his outside. J.J.G. Ryan stated that his mount moved in a bit to the left and came in at the line as she raced together with the horse upsides him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found J.J.G. Ryan in breach of Rule 214 (Careless Riding) and having taken his record into account cautioned him on this occasion.

W. Joyce, rider of Talking Tough trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bit unbalanced over the road.

243C(ii) Gerry Hughes Memorial H'cap (Division Two)

C.D. Hayes, rider of Blyton (GB) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount took a little check coming to the road.

Sam Ewing, rider of Ecliptic Moon trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Socratic, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, as the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91(v) having considered evidence from the IHRB Veterinary Officer, Ms. J. Taylor and IHRB Veterinary Assistant, Ms. C.S. Murphy.

243E J H McLoughlin Oil H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Hathiq trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled left at the road.

J.A. Powell, rider of Maguire's Grace trained by Michael J. Browne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

243G Panda Power (QR) H'cap

The Stewards received a report from Ms. J. Walsh , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr D. Kelleher, rider of Effernock Fizz, weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he accepted the report from the Clerk of the Scales. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. Kelleher was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards received a report from Ms. J. Walsh , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr D.L. Queally , rider of Great Bear (GB), weighed in at 1.4lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he accepted the evidence of the Clerk of the Scales. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. Queally was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occasion.
