The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.M. Coen replaced A.J. Slattery on Some Good Men Gone (FR), trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 2)(injured).
J.M. Sheridan replaced A.J. Slattery on Whats New, trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 5)(injured).

171B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auc M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Dahoma, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed fourth, Ballyshannon Lilly, ridden by S. Foley, placed sixth, Ulysses Rose, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second and Wonderfulwonderful, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed third, where it appeared Ballyshannon Lilly appeared to get tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.T. McCullagh stated that he had to sit for a stride when things became tight crossing the road. S. Foley stated that he had to sit for a stride turning in when things became congested. G.F. Carroll stated that it was his mount's first run, and he felt things became tight when rounding the bend. D.W. O'Connor stated that he felt pressure from his outside for half a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the stalls opened involving Nobler (GER), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, Some Good Men Gone (FR), ridden by B.M. Coen, unplaced and Ballyshannon Lilly, ridden by S. Foley, placed sixth, where it appeared horses came together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Wonderfulwonderful, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Dahoma, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight crossing the road.

S. Foley, rider of Ballyshannon Lilly, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to sit for a stride turning into the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Autumn Twist, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainers Authorised Representative Mr. Liam Casey stated that his charge ran very free last time out with an apprentice rider, he furthermore stated that the drop back in trip had also attributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S.P. Davis, rider of Whosethebestboy, weighed in at 133.4lbs having weighed out at 135.2lbs, meaning he was 1.6lbs light. Evidence was heard from C.Byrnes trainer of Whosethebestboy who stated that he saddled the horse with everything handed over to him and could not account for the discrepancy in weight. Evidence was also heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he intended to use the bathroom prior to weighing out but had ran short of time and did so thereafter. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards disqualified Whosethebestboy who finished seventh in accordance with the provisions of Rule 231(i)(weighed in more than 1lbs light) and ordered that samples be taken from Whosethebestboy for analysis by the IHRB Veterinary Officer. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards found S.P. Davis to be in breach of Rule 272(i). Having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards fined him €500.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the road crossing, with a circuit to go involving Allo Al Khawaneej (GB), ridden by S.P. Davis, unplaced and Spanish John, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, placed fifth, where it appeared that Allo Al Khawaneej made contact with Spanish John. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.G. Kennedy stated that his mount was on the wrong lead but that he was satisfied that he had left plenty of room for S.P. Davis on his inner, he further added that both he and his mount had received contact. S.P. Davis stated that he made a precautionary move to his left off heels with the horse in front, furthermore he accepted that he had made contact with the rider on his outside but felt that K.G. Kennedy had come into his racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis, was in breach of Rule 214 (improper riding). Having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for seven racedays.
