The dates for the three appeal hearings currently in the system have now been finalised. All appeals will be held in the Turf Club, The Curragh, Co. Kildare.
1) Monday 14th July at 11 a.m. T.J. O’Mara Appeal
Appeal of T.J. O’Mara against the decision of the Acting Stewards at Limerick on 20th June 2008 when, following the running of the Paulaner Alcohol Free Beer Handicap, he was found in breach of Rule 212, fined €1,500 and the horse Vintage Year suspended for 60 days.
2) Thursday, 24th July at 11.30 a.m. Curtain Call Appeal
Appeal of Mrs. P.K. Cooper and Partners against the decision of the Acting Stewards at the Curragh on 29th June 2008 when, following the running of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby, the placing of their horse Curtain Call (FR) remained unaltered despite the Stewards finding that interference had been caused by Alessandro Volta (GB).
3) Monday, 28th July at 11 a.m. Tuscan Evening Appeal
Appeals of Hubie de Burgh, owner and John J. Murphy, trainer of Tuscan Evening against the decision of the Acting Stewards at the Curragh on 25th May 2008 when, following the running of the Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas, Tuscan Evening who originally finished 2nd was demoted to 4th place for causing interference to the horse originally placed 4th, Carribean Sunset.
