Curragh, 19th September, 2006, - Shelbourne Hotel Goffs Fillies 500
The Appeals Body, Justice Ronan Keane (in the Chair), Mr. Michael J. Doyle and Mr. J.O.T. Hughes, met at the Stand House Hotel, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, on Thursday, 5th October, 2006, to consider an appeal lodged by trainer, Mr. P.A. Blockley, against the decision of the Acting Stewards at the Curragh on 19th September, 2006, when following the running of the Shelbourne Hotel Goffs Fillies 500, “Wait Watcher”, trained by Mr. Blockley, having been first past the post was disqualified and placed second following an enquiry into interference. Evidence was heard from Mr. Blockley, T.P. O’Shea, rider of “Wait Watcher”, Michael Hills, rider of “Silk Blossom”, S. Quinn, Stewards Secretary on duty, and a film of the race was also viewed.
Having considered the evidence, the Appeals Body decided to dismiss the appeal.
