The Stewards interviewed S.W. Flanagan, rider of Beacon Edge, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. W. Flanagan in breach of Regulation 10.3. (g) (frequency). Having considered S. W. Flanagan's record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. W. Flanagan for 2 racedays.

J.M. Moore, rider of Red Jack trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Castle Oliver, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
