The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.W. Harvey replaced G. Brouder on Wild Shot (GB), trained by John C. McConnell (Race 6)(injured).

316A William Hill Proper Betting 3-Y-O H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Infatuator, trained by R.Donohoe, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

R. Deegan, rider of Infatuator, trained by R.Donohoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Pro Bono, ridden by Cian Cullinan, placed second, and Sayitfirst, ridden by D. Moloney, placed third, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Wendell's Lass (GB), trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the third last.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Single Edition, trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have small skin abrasions on its left fore but to be otherwise post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Jake Peter, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed first, and Sayitfirst, ridden by D. Moloney, placed third, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that he was waiting for a gap which appeared and he filled it straight away. He further added that it got tight for half a stride. D. Moloney stated that his mount drifted off the rail in the home straight. He further added that the horse up his inside took him by surprise and he just wanted to keep it tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D. Moloney was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed O.R. Brown, rider of Eagle Fang, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he didn't connect with the horse on a few occasions and that it is a style issue on his behalf. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that O.R. Brown was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

316D William Hill Raceday Positive M'dn H'dle

Eoin G. Kelly, rider of Ballyharney, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung very badly left in the straight.

P. Byrnes, rider of Cresthill, trained by Michael Flannery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the straight.

P.T. Enright, rider of Spread The Faith, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was a little keen early on.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Beechfield, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr R.W. Barron was in breach of R.10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards fined Thomas Gibney, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue strap to Story Rory, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mister Beeton, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.T. Enright, rider of Its Not Over Yet, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Sundial, ridden by M.P. Walsh, and trained by Padraig Roche. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. M.P. Walsh stated that his instructions were to settle in mid divison, get his mount jumping and do the best he could. He further added that he raced behind the favourite, had to pull out after the fourth last when he was met with interference and stayed on one paced past tired horses in the closing stages. Padraig Roche confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that the animal was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered.

316G Irish Stall. Farms EBF (M) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving Love As Always, ridden by Mr B.J. Walsh, placed sixth, and Murphy Place, ridden by Mr E. Finegan, placed fifth, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr B.J. Walsh stated that as he struck his mount she hung violently left. Mr E. Finegan stated that he was coming with his run when he was carried out off the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr B.J. Walsh, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired from Mr O.T. Gilligan, rider of Minimongous, trained by Paul John Gilligan, who was unseated on the flat in this race. Mr O.T. Gilligan reported that his mount sustained an injury to its hind leg and he was unseated independently of any other horse. Having viewed the recording and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Mr B.J. Walsh, rider of Love As Always, trained by Barry John Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung out on the home bend.
