The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Walnut Beach, ridden by G.B. Noonan, placed third, and Mr Saxobeat, ridden by Anna McGuinness, placed second, where it appeared Mr Saxobeat drifted right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.B. Noonan stated that the horse in front of him drifted across and he received a small bump. Anna McGuinness stated that her mount was drifting but she corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind Anna McGuinness to correct her mount before interference is caused in future.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Music Of Tara (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was nearly brought down by the faller.
P.T. Enright, rider of Aarons Day, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the fifth last.
333D Remembering Bridget Hillis M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Oh So Charming (GB), trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small wound on his left fore shin but to be otherwise post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.C. Gainford, rider of Paul Collins, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race where it appeared he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. J.C. Gainford stated he felt out of control and felt if he hadn't used his whip he would have went through the rail. He further added that his mount was responding to every strike which he felt was necessary. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the riders explanation.
J.C. Gainford, rider of Paul Collins, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right from the turn in all the way home.
333E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Mares) H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Aurora Vega, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race. Samples were taken for further analysis.
P. Townend, rider of Aurora Vega, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
333G Irish EBF (Mares) (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceC.M Hogan, rider of Regards To Rose, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right and ran off the track in the straight.
