265A Irish EBF Auction Series (Fillies) M'dn

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Agouti Bear, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wandered a little bit in the closing stages.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Goddaughter, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Kurrawa, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled in the early stages.

R. Whearty, rider of Muine Mor, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped on the way to the start.

C. Horgan, rider of Due Respect, trained by Michael Butler, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got a bit tight for room in the straight but he hadn't the horse to fill the gap. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Agouti Bear, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was lying left from before halfway and he couldn't get her to switch leads. He further added that he was only waving his whip as opposed to striking his mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards gave J.A. Heffernan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

265B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Snapdragon, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Snapdragon, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right in the last half a furlong.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Shimmy Jimmy, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right in the last half furlong.

265C Simonstown H'cap

The Raceday Stewards fined Adrian McGuinness, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared visor to Hezahunk, prior to entering the parade ring.

Aidan Anthony Howard, trainer of Stopitnowjulia, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge pulled a shoe in running.

265D Rathkenny H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Transcendental (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

265F Gormanlough H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Struck By Churchil (GB), ridden by C. Horgan, placed first, and Nosey Anna, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that he suffered very little interference. He further added he received a shout from C. Horgan and he moved out of his way. C. Horgan stated that he gave J.M. Sheridan a shout and felt Nosey Anna was going backwards at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind C. Horgan to ride with more awareness in future.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Forbidden Planet (GB) trained by Kevin Michael Smith was found to have blood at the nose post race.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Nosey Anna, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't get much of a run early in the straight.
