The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Mrs Jayne Hearne, trainer of Western Dreaming (FR) (Change in going) - €200
John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of Mezyan (FR) (Change in going) - €200
M.C. Grassick, trainer of Whisper In Court (Change in going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. Fenelon replaced C.G. O'Dwyer on Dalileo, trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 6)(Intended mount was a non runner)
S. O'Callaghan rode Capture The Drama (reserve) trained by Aengus King (Race 6)
R.J. Condon replaced Kieran Callaghan on Esthers Marvel, trained by David Kenneth Budds (Race 7)(Stood down)

152A Three Rocks (Mares) M'dn H'dle

S.D. Torrens, rider of Allyouneedisone trained by Eoin Griffin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

Kieran Callaghan, rider of Boola Belle trained by Seamus Spillane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up.

At the request of the Stewards, C.M. Quirke, rider of Felicity Flick, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jinked for the horse gate on the first circuit.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Felicity Flick, trained by Andrew Slattery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and coughing post race.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Uppertown Mya, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.P. Brouder stated that his mount wore a pricker on the left side and was leaning into it coming down the hill when he used the whip a few times in the back hand. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P. Brouder was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended G.P. Brouder for two racedays.

152B Ladies Day August 5 (C&G) Opp. Mdn Hdle

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Other Plans trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green and was pulled up.

152C visitwexford.ie M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vibrance (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be sore on an overreach on her right fetlock joint.

D.J. McInerney, rider of Vibrance (GB) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed I.J. Power, rider of Don't Tell Allen, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, I.J. Power stated that he had used the whip very lightly in the straight but was ensuring that his mount would not pull up if left alone. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that I.J. Power was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended I.J. Power for three racedays.

The Stewards requested a report from John Queally, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Don't Tell Allen, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Tipperary on the 19th May when pulled up. John Queally reported that his charge ran too keen when fitted with first time cheek pieces at Tipperary and disappointed. Today with the cheek pieces left off, his charge settled well when ridden off the pace in a race that was run at a very fast gallop. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

152D Country Fest Wexford August 7 Hcap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed N.T. Prendergast, rider of Roccorionach, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, N.T. Prendergast admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines on the permitted use of the whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that N.T. Prendergast was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended N.T. Prendergast for one raceday.

152G Racing Again June 15th H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed M. Hamill, rider of Secret Cargo, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, M. Hamill admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines on the permitted use of the whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M. Hamill was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M. Hamill for three racedays.

The Stewards interviewed I.J. Power, rider of Steps Match, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, I.J. Power admitted that he had misjudged the number of hits with the whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that I.J. Power was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended I.J. Power for six racedays.

R.J. Condon, rider of Esthers Marvel trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made jumping mistakes before being pulled up.

J.C. Canavan, rider of Sidetracked (GB) trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and was pulled up.
