The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Michael J. McDonagh, trainer of Thelonglad (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Cian Quirke replaced H.P. Cleary on Sing Till Dawn, trained by Michael G. Cleary (Race 3)(unwell)
J.W. Kennedy replaced Sam Ewing on Superlike, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(Stewards permission as intended mount a non runner)
K.C. Sexton rode Big Belief (reserve) trained by Seamus Fahey (Race 3)

234B Walter Halley Memorial Beginners S'chase

The Stewards enquired from C.M. Quirke, rider of Hopefully, who fell on the flat in this race while turning down the hill on the final circuit. The rider reported that his mount lost its action behind while rounding the bend and fell independently of any other horse. Having considered the report and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of True Faith trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount slipped on the bend three furlongs out.

C.P. McNamara, rider of Cahirdown Boy, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost its footing travelling down the hill.

Mr J.L. Scallan, rider of Local Rogue trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

234C The Velvet Cap M'dn H'dle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Big Belief trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and was pulled up thereafter.

234E O'Neill's Bar Rated Novice H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Anthony Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Rotten Row, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Limerick on July 21st, when finishing last of 13 runners and was beaten by 66 lengths. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on its previous run when loosing its action travelling down the hill which was reported to the Stewards on the day. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

234F Mary Hearn Memorial H'cap H'dle

Owing to the trajectory of the Sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdle number four to be omitted from this race.

L.A. McKenna, rider of Westernerona trained by Garrett James Power, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel which was confirmed by the I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer.

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Corkbeg trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

Shane Fenelon, rider of Thebabyman trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
