The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. King replaced J.P. O'Sullivan on That's About Right, trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 1)(Unwell)
D. King replaced J.P. O'Sullivan on Hitthehayson, trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 4)(Unwell)

364A Thurles Racecourse Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Hugh Paul Finegan, trainer of Futurum Regem, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as required under Rule 90(i).
Futurum Regem was not presented in time and therefore withdrawn by order of the Stewards.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Boldog (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be seen with blood at both nostrils post race.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Boldog (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

364C Racing Again Tomorrow H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John C McConnell, trainer of Room To Roam an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official under Rule 90(i).

364D www.thurlesraces.ie M'dn H'dle

R.A. Doyle, rider of Party Dress, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left all the way up the straight.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Paul Collins, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount tried to run out and felt lame on pulling up.

Niall Moore, rider of Only You Norah, trained by Donal Commins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made two mistakes at the top of the hill.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Paul Collins, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame in front post race.

364E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Tom Dreaper, trainer of Cnoc An Locha, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as required under Rule 90(i).

364F Killinan M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Michael John O'Connor, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Therellbguddaysyet, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Michael John O'Connor stated that he applied cushion shoes to the horse after his most recent run at Thurles on November 21st and felt that may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

364G Horse & Jockey H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Beechfield, trained by Donal Commins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Beechfield, trained by Donal Commins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise at the top of the hill.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Dream Escape (GB) trained by Thomas Mullins lost a hind shoe in this race.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Mr. C.J. Sweeney.

The Raceday Stewards used their powers under Rule 29 to appoint Mr. Garvan Ware as Security Officer for this meeting.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. Peter Delmar, Authorised Representative for W.P. Mullins, trainer, in regards to the withdrwal of nine runners prior to the first race due to the going which was described as Good as it was at the entry stage and the declaration stage. Peter Delmar stated that all nine horses were at the course and both Paul Townend and Danny Mullins walked the course and were of the opinion that todays ground was unsuitable for their horses which they described as winter ground types. Having heard the explanation the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
