The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A.C. Persse replaced Sean Cleary Farrell on Bruinneall, trained by Thomas Cleary (Race 4)(Rider administration error).

095A Ir. Stallion Farms EBF Med Auct (F) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning for home involving Got The Moves, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, Seen It In Colour, ridden by G.M. Ryan, unplaced and White Pepper, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed third, where it appeared that Seen It In Colour ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that his mount hung off the bend. G. M. Ryan stated that his race was run and the interference did not cost him anything. Sam Ewing stated that the interference did not affect him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action. Sam Ewing was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. K. O'Ryan.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Got The Moves trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the bend.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Seen It In Colour trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room turning in.

095B Ir. Stallion Farms EBF MedAuct (C&G) Mdn

C.D. Hayes, rider of Xeres (GB) trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jinked left when the winner went by him.

At the request of the Stewards, D. McMonagle, rider of Prairie Dancer, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not come down the hill and then ran home well.

095C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hayyel, trained by Richard Brabazon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Hayyel, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, Princesse Mathilde (GB), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, unplaced and Newgirlintown, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed sixth, where it appeared that Hayyel had to check off heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Camphor trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

S. Foley, rider of Forbearance trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green.

Richard Brabazon, trainer of Hayyel, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.

095D Kennedy's Bar Sligo Apprentice H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Unanswered (GB) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not travel early.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Drummer (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked turning in.

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning in involving Cross Step (USA), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, unplaced, Craic Eile, ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, Carried, ridden by Cillian McConnell, placed sixth, Drummer (GB), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed fourth and Miss Louise, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fifth, where it appeared that several horses got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Sheehy stated that he was always on the outer and suffered no interference. P. A. Harnett stated that did not cause any interference. Cillian McConnell stated that his mount ran onto heels causing things to get tight. J.M. Sheridan stated that he was slightly checked but not really interfered with. L.T. McAteer stated that he had to check when things got tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards did not apportion blame as they were satisfied that the interference was accidental and therefore took no further action.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Eastern Tornado, trained by Michael P. Hourigan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away, is still very green and raw and found the track too tight. He added that he also got caught in traffic turning in and then hung in behind horses twice in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Unanswered (GB), trained by A.J. Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

095E Foley's Bar & Off Licence M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of Rodwill trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green early.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Nobel Dragon trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a run on him down the hill and stretched out and clipped heels after a furlong. Furthermore, he added that it was through no fault of anybody else. Having viewed the recording and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

W.T. Byrne, rider of Viennese Voice trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount took a while to warm into the race and her action was not very good.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Dream Wisely (GB), trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

At the request of the Stewards, C.J. McGovern, rider of Abitofamonster, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount found the track too tight and did not handle it.

095F(i) Glasshouse Hotel H'cap (Division One)

R.P. Cleary, rider of Manhattan Dandy, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost its action and didn't feel right and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Manhattan Dandy, trained by Ciaran Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D. McMonagle, rider of Kals Mogok (FR) trained by W.P. Browne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and was slowly away.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Polly Douglas trained by J.H. Scott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

095F(ii) Glasshouse Hotel H'cap (Division Two)

M.A. Gallagher, rider of Miss Florentine trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Night Law (GB) trained by Declan Wall, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

James J. Doyle, rider of Hell Left Loose (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he took a precautionary check on the final bend.

The Stewards requested a report from C. Moore, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Hands Down, placed first, as compared with its recent form. C. Moore stated that his charge did not stay the last time out and the drop back in trip today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
