The Stewards enquired into an incident when straightening up off the final bend involving Ciel De Neige (FR), ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first and Two Shoe Tom, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, placed fourth, where it appeared that Ciel De Niege (Fr) may have made contact when edging outwards to make a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C.D. Maxwell stated that his mount was struggling and rolling around at that point. M.P. Walsh stated that to make a gap he made a gradual move outward off the final bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final two hundred yards involving Red Ball Of Fire, ridden by H. Morgan, placed first and Mullins Cross, ridden by Shane Fenelon, placed second, where it appeared that Red Ball Of Fire edged inwards and made contact with Mullins Cross. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence Shane Fenelon stated that half way up the run in, Red Ball Of Fire leaned in on his mount causing it to lose its footing and put its head up in the air. H. Morgan stated that his mount idled when hitting the front and caused minimal interference but in his opinion he had taken the lead and had won with plenty in hand. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Red Ball Of Fire had caused interference to Mullins Cross, she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judges placings. They were, however, of the opinion that H. Morgan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined He'sthewon, trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

E. Walsh, rider of He'sthewon trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

C.A. Landers, rider of Dreamy Leamy trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

The Stewards reviewed an incident close to the winning post involving Temptationinmilan, ridden by D.J. McInerney, placed third and Joan Of Pimlico, ridden by B.P. Kennedy, placed fourth, where it appeared Temptationinmilan was short of room to challenge. Having viewed the recording of that part of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.

The Stewards requested a report from Martin Brassil, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of A Different World, placed first, as compared with its recent form. David Brassil, Authorised representative for Martin Brassil reported that their charge was unsuited by being enclosed in a big field of runners whereas he was suited by today's small field of runners and the ease in the ground conditions. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
