O.J. Orr, rider of Amemri (GB) trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away from the starting stalls.
The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officier, that Asgard's Captain, trained by S. Donohoe, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Stewards fined S. Donohoe €130, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148 (vi).
112B Boyle H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Precedent, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
L.F. Roche, rider of Adhuil trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.
The Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Adhuil, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, L.F. Roche accepted that he had exceeded the guidelines for frequency and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L.F. Roche was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended L.F. Roche for one raceday.
112C www.roscommonracecourse.ie H'capS.P. Davis, rider of Breaking Story trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
S.D. Bowen, rider of Eloquent Arthur (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up on leaving the starting stalls.
112E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnThe Stewards informed J.G. Murray, trainer, that Forever My Girl, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
The Stewards enquired into the start of this race where it appeared that stall No 2 may have opened momentarily early. Evidence was heard from the IHRB Starter, Mr. D. Cullen and G.P. Brouder, rider of Forever My Girl. Mr. Cullen stated that this filly was fractious at the start and entered the stalls last. She immediately got upset and she charged the gate when he released the starting mechanism resulting in her forcing the gate to open. In his opinion a fair start had been effected. G.P. Brouder stated that his mount was very difficult which had to be led to the start. As soon as he mounted her in the starting stalls, she lunged at the gate and hit it with her head which forced them to open slightly early. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and took no further action.
G.P. Brouder, rider of Forever My Girl trained by J.G. Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lunged at the gates and forced them to open when contact was made.
C.T. Keane, rider of The Model Kingdom trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount fly leaped when the gates opened.
112F Dick Mulvanney Supporting Roscommon HcapThe Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Lord Erskine, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Siobhan Rutledge accepted that she had breached the guidelines for frequency and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for seven racedays.
S.M. Crosse, rider of War Thunder (GB) trained by D.J.Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action in the straight and was coughing after the race.
112G Castlerea H'capThe Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared cheek pieces to Breakintheclouds, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer €65 for fitting cheek pieces to Say It So which had not been declared and ordered it’s removal.
K.J. Leonard, rider of The Insider trained by J.F. O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen through the early stages of this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Loom Large, trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be struck into on his right hind leg.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alice Diamond, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
