The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to and over the last fence involving Indiana Jones (FR), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed second and Busselton (FR), ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed first, where it appeared Busselton ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. O'Keeffe stated that his mount drifted right and he was not aware there was a horse on his inner. J. J. Slevin stated that he momentarily ran short of room but it did not cost him anything. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D. J. O'Keeffe was in breach of rule 214, in that he had ridden improperly. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended D. J. O'Keeffe for three racedays.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Indiana Jones (FR) trained by M.F. Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled around under pressure.

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances which led to It's Only A Number, ridden by Cian Cullinan, unplaced, I'm Not Alone, ridden by R.A. Doyle, unplaced, Henry Brown, ridden by B.J. Cooper, unplaced, Jimli's Island (GB), ridden by Derek McGrath, placed third, Wake Up Early, ridden by S.D. Torrens, unplaced, Laughing Trix, ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, faller, Warreedy, ridden by P.T. Enright, unplaced, Brandy Harbour (GB), ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth, Turndownthevolume, ridden by D.E. Mullins, unplaced, Go All The Way (GB), ridden by L.P. Dempsey, unplaced, Enduring Love, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, placed sixth and Four Country Roads, ridden by P.J. Carberry, placed fifth, allowing the two front runners a generous lead. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. F. O'Regan stated that there was a cavalry charge to the first when all horses were going too quick and the early complexion of the race was dramatically altered with the fallers at the first and the front runners were further set alight by the loose horses. This opinion was confirmed by the other riders who all felt that they jumped off together and were racing with the leaders but it was the fallers that pulled the race apart. P. T. Enright confirmed his report that his mount never travelled. D. E. Mullins confirmed his report that his mount was flat out all the way and added that the early pace was very strong for this grade. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
349D William Hill Ireland M'dn H'dleB. Browne, rider of Plunkett (GB) trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
349E William Hill Ireland H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that The Names Jock trained by John E. Kiely was found to have lost its right fore shoe in running.
349G1 William Hill Ireland H'cap H'dleS.D. Torrens, rider of Frazel Express trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.
R. Deegan, rider of Kilnashane Star trained by M.O. Quigley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received pressure from the outside going away from the stands and then stopped very quickly.
The Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of Betterask Jj, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that A. McCurtin was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended A. McCurtin for seven racedays.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Saga Aravis (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Damut trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that there was general bunching and things got tight for a stride at the bend after the stands but it was something of nothing. Having reviewed the incident and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
J.J. Slevin, rider of Le Fou's Keep trained by S. Slevin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and jumped left throughout.
P.J. Carberry, rider of Johnny Giro trained by Mrs Ann Mooney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he mistook the course for a stride or two but took immediate action once he realised his mistake.
349G2 William Hill Ireland H'cap H'dleK.M. Donoghue, rider of Zalika trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left after the second last.
The Stewards interviewed J.M. Moore, rider of Different Beat, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Moore was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended J.M. Moore for one raceday.
The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Robindevidastar, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.P. O'Sullivan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
At the request of the Stewards, Miss S. Ahern, rider of Stolen Moment, trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount was outpaced down the back straight and stayed on one paced.
