The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. P. McNamara replaced Sam Ewing on Dubai Clover, trained by John C. McConnell (Race 2)(Stood down).
C. D. Maxwell replaced Sam Ewing on Turbo, trained by J.R.Finn (Race 3)(Stood down)
C. McGivern replaced Sam Ewing on A Fortune Out West, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(Stood down)
R. J. Condon replaced Sam Ewing on Jaycean, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 7)(Stood down)

350A Pigsback.com Risk Of Thunder S'chase

The Stewards fined C.W.J. Farrell, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared tounge tie to Hurricane Darwin, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Hurricane Darwin trained by C.W.J. Farrell was found to have blood at the nostrils post race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr B.T. Stone, rider of Vital Island, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. B.T. Stone was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend approaching the laurel bank involving Champagne Platinum, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, Midnight Maestro (GB), ridden by M.P. Walsh, Vital Island, ridden by Mr B.T. Stone, Blast Of Koeman, ridden by Mr T. Power Roche, and Freewheelin Dylan, ridden by R.A. Doyle, where it appeared that an incident occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Walsh, stated that he received pressure from his inside and had to check back. K.M. Donoghue, stated that he was carried wide. R.A. Doyle, stated that he was carried wide having suffered interference from his inside. Mr. T. Power Roche, stated that he got tight for room on the inside. Mr B. T. Stone, stated that he was aware that a horse was on his outside, but was hanging inwards at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr B.T Stone, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record, they suspended him for two racedays.

350B John Lynch Carpets 3-Y-O H'dle

Owing to the low trajectory of the Sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles number four and five to be omitted from this race.

350C Ryans Cleaning H'cap S'chase

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the start of this race, involving Dunboyne, ridden by J.C. Gainford and Snugsborough Benny, ridden by D.F. O'Regan. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and from Mr. P.F. Graffin IHRB Starter. Mr P.F. Graffin, stated that he informed all riders of the bypassing procedure following the omission of the first three obstacles and was satisfied that all horses were facing him at the time he dropped the flag. He further added that at this point, Dunboyne whipped around causing interference to Snugsborough Benny. D. F. O'Regan, stated that his mount was slowly away from the start after Dunboyne had whipped around causing interference to his mount and was satisfied that this had occurred after the starter had effected a fair start. J. C. Gainford, stated that his mount whipped around after the starter had dropped his flag causing interference to Snugsbourough Benny. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

350D Liam & Valerie Brennan Novice S'chase

Owing to the low trajectory of the Sun, the Stewards granted permission for fences five,six and seven to be omitted from this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Idas Boy, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.J. Cooper, rider of Idas Boy trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake, never travelled and was pulled up.

350H Mervyn Gray (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Cato Capone, ridden by Mr J. J. Codd, placed second and Lecky Watson, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. J. J. Codd stated that he was in front when he received two bumps and was carried wide which he felt had cost him the race. Mr. P. W. Mullins accepted that his mount had drifted into the other horse but felt the other horse had moved in to him first. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Lecky Watson had caused interference to Cato Capone and as a result of this interference had improved it’s finishing position. As a consequence, the Stewards reversed the placings of the first and second placed horses and amended the result to read as follows:
Amended Result:
First: Cato Capone
Second: Lecky Watson
Third: Bective Bridge
Fourth: I'M For Home
Fifth: Gambling Glory
Sixth: Do As Your Told.
Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
