The Stewards received a report from Ms. Joan Taylor M.V.B., M.R.C.V.S., Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Dreamsrmadeofthis, trained by E. Bolger. Evidence was heard from the Veterinary Officer and the Trainer's Authorised Representative, Mr. Brendan Hanley. The Veterinary Officer stated that as the microchip could not be found following the use of three different scanners and there were also some discrepencies in the markings she could not positively identify the horse. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Dreamsrmadeofthis as the horse could not be identified in the manner specified by Rule 90 (iii) and referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).
Mr. Marcus Magnier, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry. .
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Clever Currency trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount's saddle slipped and he pulled up
R.M. Power, rider of Ilmig trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.
R.A. Doyle, rider of Speak Now trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last.
At the request of the Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Barncroft, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake at the first, lost ground and ran green thereafter.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ilmig, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
040C Athboy H'cap H'dleA representative of Thomas Gibney, trainer of Magic Piper, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge Magic Piper was found to have burst on endoscopic examination post race.
040E Flyingbolt Novice S'chaseR. Deegan, rider of Prefad (GB) trained by Mrs Caroline McCaldin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was flat out all the way.
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Recent Revelations, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake at the sixth fence.
