J.W. Kennedy, rider of Firefox trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green throughout.
At the request of the Stewards, B.J. Cooper, rider of Fairy Tree, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was out paced for much of this race and past tired horses in the straight having filled its lungs.
344B Hotel Park St. Johann Tirol H'cap H'dleThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Gold Speed, ridden by D.F. O'Regan and Rodney Bay, ridden by J.J. Slevin where it appeared Gold Speed leaned in on Rodney Bay. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J. Slevin stated that his horse was looking for way out late on when Mr. O'Regan came in on him but felt it did not cost him a place. D.F. O'Regan stated that his mount can be a difficult ride and was lugging in towards the rail late on when there was slight interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found D.F. O'Regan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
M.P. O'Connor, rider of Billable Grant trained by C.A. McBratney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was therefore pulled up.
344C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beg. S'chaseOwing to low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for fence #4 to be omitted from this race
344E Railway Bar Lismullen H'dleAt the request of the Stewards, D.E. Mullins, rider of Flooring Porter, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced in the later stages of this race.
The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer examined Zanahiyr, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. A wound to his right fore cannon, and a graze distal right forearm.
The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Home By The Lee, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. J.J. Slevin stated that he used his whip in the early part of this race for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted J.J. Slevin's evidence, that two uses of the whip in the early part of this race were for corrective purposes and they therefore took no further action.
P.T. Enright, rider of Gatsby Grey (FR) trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
344G Tynan's Bridge House H'cap H'dleSean O. O'Brien, trainer of Rockanrye, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have a badly grazed hind cannon post race.
