The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Worth A Look, ridden by Mr B.G. Crawford and trained by S.R.B. Crawford. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Mr B.G. Crawford stated that his instructions were to give him plenty of daylight at his jumps, get him to settle in 4th or 5th and ride a race from there. He added that the race did not go to plan as Worth a Look ran too keenly, jumped poorly and made a noise from the third last home. S.R.B. Crawford confirmed the riding instructions adding that he was happy with the ride but that in hindsight they should have dropped him in and got him to settle. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Worth A Look was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered. However they cautioned Mr B.G. Crawford with regards to his responsibilities under Rule 213.
