The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong marker involving Arewecrystalclear, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced and Vivaia, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed fifth, where it appeared that Arewecrystalclear checked when Vivaia manoeuvred out across her path to deliver a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.C. Colgan stated that his run was petering out when Vivaia moved across his path and he had to check. O.J. Orr stated that his mount was running green, this being her first run, when she overreacted to his signal to move slightly outwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that O.J. Orr was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly during this manoeuvre. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended O.J. Orr for one raceday.

163D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Naas Oaks Trial

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving La Petite Coco, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second and Willow, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed first, where it appeared that Willow drifted towards La Petite CoCo which may have caused her to shift right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, W.J. Lee stated that his mount had got to the tail of Willow when that animal drifted outwards but in his opinion it did not affect his final position. J.A. Heffernan stated that his mount shifted outwards when tiring and he pulled his whip through to correct her. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

O.J. Orr, rider of Alazenya trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped on both bends.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sense Of Style trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped on the first bend and was nearly brought down by Sacred Rhyme and later in this race, lost her hind legs on the turn into the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend after leaving the starting stalls involving La Petite Coco, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Sacred Rhyme, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Sense Of Style, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fourth and Willow, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed first, where it appeared that Sacred Rhyme stumbled and impeded Sense Of Style. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D.P. McDonogh stated his mount brushed off Sacred Rhyme which broadsided his mount who slipped on the greasy ground. S. Foley stated that his mount made contact with La Petite CoCo which lit her up and she caught a heel. W.J. Lee stated that his mount locked on to the bit and raced keen to the bend which she ran off slightly. J.A. Heffernan stated that while the incident happened behind him he was unaware of it.
