S.W. Flanagan, rider of Night Combat trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that there were shadows at the two final flights.
344B Old Persian At Glenview Fishery Lane HdlThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Indiana Jones (FR), trained by M.F.Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
344D Brown Lad H'cap H'dleThe Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Barnaviddaun, ridden by D.J. Mullins, placed first and Damalisque (FR), ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placing and took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wadiyatink Now, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
D.J. Mullins, rider of Barnaviddaun trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he was momentarily blinded by the low lying sun in the closing stages.
344E Rathbarry & Glenview Novice H'cap SchaseOwing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the two fences in the home straight to be omitted from this race.
The Stewards interviewed Mr P. Power, rider of Memory Tree, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. P. Power in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. P. Power's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. P. Power for two racedays.
