The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Pretty Rebel, ridden by C.T. Keane, Lopes Gold, ridden by S. Foley, and Dragons Call, ridden by C.D. Hayes where it appeared that Pretty Rebel checked when going between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that he opted to race between Lopes Gold and Dragons Call when his horse failed to quicken and he had to take a precautionary check. S. Foley stated his mount was not a straightforward ride which lugged right, was given a flick of the whip and rolled left before being straightened. C.D.
