149B John B. Keane (C&G) M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Frankendael (GB) trained by E. McNamara was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Major Barry, trained by John E. & Thomas Kiely, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
C.P. McNamara, rider of Frankendael (GB), trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had blood from one nostril possibly as a result of hitting his head at the start.
149C Southern Waste Management (M) H'cap HdleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Geoghegan, rider of Brilliant Question, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race where it appeared he struck his mount a number of strides after the finish line. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. R.P. Geoghegan accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found R.P. Geoghegan was in breach of R.10.3(d) and in considering his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays.
149E John J. Galvin S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maxxum, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Visionarian, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.
149F Beasley Engineering Hunters S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards fined Peter Maher, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared cheekpieces to Mellow Glory, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. P. Hassett, that Mr P.A. King, rider of Jeremy Pass, had weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had a drink after weighing out and this may explain the discrepancy in weight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. P.A. King was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they cautioned him on this occasion.
149G Bryan MacMahon (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceP. Hanlon, rider of D Journey Man, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced freely and pulled up.
