The Stewards interviewed R.J. Condon, rider of Heaven Help Us, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence he stated that he had started to use his whip when left in front off the home turn and accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.J. Condon was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous good record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned R.J. Condon on this occasion.
P. Townend, rider of Dysart Diamond trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the second last hurdle.
023C Chanelle Pharma Novice H'dleThe Stewards interviewed M.P. Fogarty, rider of Galopin Des Champs (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence he stated that his mount had disappointed the last day and he gave him a strong ride today but exceeded the whip guidelines in so doing. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M.P. Fogarty was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.P. Fogarty for 2 racedays.
P. Corkery, trainer of Master McShee (GB), reported to an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Racing Official that his charge was found to have blood at both nostrils post race
023D William Fry H'cap H'dleP. Townend, rider of Koshari (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake in the early part of this race.
C.J. Orr, rider of Walk To Freedom trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout this race.
023G Gaelic Plant Hire H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards interviewed M.P. Walsh, rider of Off You Go, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence he stated that he was riding tight and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M.P. Walsh was in breach of R10(3)(e) by using his whip other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.P. Walsh for 1 raceday.
