The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Laughifuwant, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Annie Fior, ridden by A.J. Farragher, where it appeared Annie Fior got a bump close to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found C.T. Keane in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account cautioned him.
The Stewards requested a report from B.A.Murphy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Annie Fior, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer reported that this filly may have benefitted from a change of tactics today. Also he felt that the timing of the run may have suited the filly. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
064E P.W.McGrath Memorial Ballysax StakesThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tankerville (USA), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
064F Leopardstown Ladies Evening H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving South Pacific (GB), ridden by D. O'Brien, and Jupiter Road (GB), ridden by A.C. Persse. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. O'Brien stated that his mount was brought down by a horse in front of him suddenly veering to the right. A.C. Persse stated that his mount suddenly veered right as he approached the road crossing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
064G Bulmers Live At Leopardstown H'capThe Stewards fined J.C.Hayden, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ten Joys, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Ten Joys in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards informed Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer that Make A Challenge, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
The Stewards informed Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Make A Challenge, that a repeat of this horse's behaviour may render the horse liable to suspension in the future.
